Eureka Ch. 2
Two weeks later ~~
Yani was over at her apartment playing with Jihye when she heard a knock at her door. She got up from the floor wiping the back of her pants as she headed towards the door. She peeks through the keyhole and rolls her eyes as she saw the person who was on the other end of the door.
She unlocks the door and opens it revealing the father of her daughter standing on the other end. "I guess you were able to get away from your extracurricular activities," Yani said, sarcastic.
Jiho stepped inside the apartment taking off the glasses he was wearing. "Honestly, Yani, I'm not in the mood right now."
She closes the door behind him folding her arms over her chest. "You're not in the mood? Funny, I'm never in the mood to see you but here you are," she snaps, waving her hands in the air.
He shakes his head as he heads over to see his daughter sitting on the floor playing with her blocks. He smiles as he kneels down to her. "Jihye," he said.
He reaches out his hands to her as she smiles seeing her daddy. He picks her up and holds her in his arms.
In his hands, he places a kiss on her cheek as she smiles. Yani watches for a little before leaving to head to her room.
She didn't want to start another fight with Jiho around their daughter, so normally she leaves and lets him spend time with her. But like always, it didn't last long.
She was sitting on the bed when she hears a tap at her door.
She looked up to see Jiho holding Jihye in his arms. "I just got a call from Jay, that he wants to discuss something with me about our new track, so I got to go."
Yani kissed her teeth as Jiho hands back Jihye to her. The little girl starts to cry when she knew that her daddy was leaving her once again.
For a child that was only two years old, she was already aware of her father's antics. "Come here, Jihye at least this time, you got to spend 15 minutes more than the normal time he comes to see you."
Jiho wanted to say something but he just stepped away and headed out of the room to leave.
"So what day should I put you down to see your daughter?"
He shakes his head as he tries to ignore her but her attitude was getting to him quickly.
"So you're just going to ignore me?"
He turns around and looks at Yani and his daughter, Jihye. "I'll call you," he says through his teeth.
Yani was done. She put Jihye in her room and closed the door behind her. She storms over to Jiho just before he opens the door. "Why don't you stop this."
"Stop what?"
"Stop everything, you come here when it benefits you and not your daughter. You literally spend 30 minutes with her and then she doesn't see you for weeks."
"Well, I did ask you to have an abortion," he retorts at her.
Yani stepped away from him. "You know that was never going to happen. Matter of fact, let's resolve this now. I'm getting married, Jiho."
Jiho stared at her for the longest before he opens her front door and closed it right behind, never acknowledging what she just said to him.
