Mystery Lover Ch. 6

6~WELL...YEAH....

The ride had officially stopped and Taemin also believed that his heart had stopped too. He stood staring at the person that was in front of him as he tears fell down his face. The person that was next to him just continued to laugh due to how he looked.
His hair was all over the place and his face was bright red from screaming so much. "I thought you said that you could handle it," Erika teased
Hearing the release sound of the restraints being unlocked Taemin quickly got out of the seat and rushed towards the exit. Erika followed behind him as he headed over to the nearest trash can to vomit. He pulled back his mask and let out everything that was in his stomach. Erika was now behind him and placed her hands on her hips. Taemin turned to her once he felt that his stomach was no longer doing somersaults. He wiped away some of the chunks from off of his face as he tried to slowly lift up his body to only feel his stomach get queasy once again.
Erika noticed how he looked and stepped over to him rubbing his back to make him feel better. Finally, after five minutes of letting out everything that was inside his stomach, Taemin lifted his head up as Erika assist him over to where benches were for him to sit down. She walked away and came back with the cup of warm water for him to drink. "Drink this, it will make your stomach feel better."
Taemin took the cup from her and slowly started to drink the water. As he did he could feel his stomach becoming a lot more settle. He stopped drinking and held the cup in between his fingers. Erika once again rubbed his back hoping that he would feel better. "How do you feel?" She asked him.
All he could do at the moment was groan his answer. Erika smiled as she got up from the bench feeling happy. "Good, so let's go on the thunder." She said grabbing his arm.
Taemin yanked his arm away from her's, "Erika I'm fine but I'm not that okay to go on another crazy ride. Can we do something a lot calmer, please."
Erika pouted her lips as she thought what could be a lot calmer than what they were already experiencing at the park. She then snapped her fingers as she grabbed Taemin's hand pulling him along.
"Erika, where are we going?" He asked.
She ignored him as she exited out of the park and headed to the road. She waved down a cab and one pulled up to them. She opens the door pushing Taemin inside and closing the door behind her. "Where to?" The driver asked.
Erika grabbed her phone and showed the driver something on it. He nodded his head before pressing on the gas. The movement caused a slight jolt that made Taemin's stomach uncomfortable once again. Erika noticed and tried to rub his stomach but he moved her hand away. "I'm fine, Erika. Where are we going?"
Erika turned her attention to look out the window as they passed buildings and then into the country. Now they were in the outskirt of Seoul. The driver stopped the vehicle and which allowed Erika and Taemin to get out. "Thank you," Erika said, giving the man his fare.
She closed the door and walked down the road. Taemin who's has never been in this part of Seoul felt a little uncomfortable he looked around seeing fields and small houses. He noticed Erika turn down a road and which he needed to catch up with her. She then turned until she came up to a wooden door and knocked twice on it.
Taemin nudged Erika was just stared at him. "Where are Erika?" He asked again.
Just then he heard a commotion coming from the other side of the door. Just then the door opens up and there stood an elderly old woman smiling happily at them. "Is that my birthday girl?" The elderly woman asked.
"Halmeoni!" Erika yelled out as she reached out to hug the old woman. The woman hugged Erika back tightly before looking up at Taemin.
"Who is this handsome man," she asked Erika.
Erika scoffed as she stepped inside the house. "That's Taemin, he is not feeling well so I brought him here so you can help him."
The woman turned her attention to Taemin who looked very paled and was on the verge of throwing up once again. "Come in, my child, did Erika do something crazy with you? She has always been a wild child ever since she was little."
Taemin was helped inside by Erika's grandmother as she took him inside. She placed him down on the couch as she headed to the kitchen. Taemin looked around as he waited for whatever Erika's grandmother was going to get for him. As he did, he noticed pictures of Erika all over her grandmother's house. He noticed some of her with her parents, in which he found out by her that they were no longer together. Just then the elderly woman came back with a tray with a cup of tea and some other things for Taemin. "Here you go, this will help you feel better." Taemin bowed his head as he took the cup and sipped the liquid inside.
When he did, he almost choked on whatever the smell of the drink was. "Oh, that's ginger, it will help settle your stomach." She told him. Taemin nodded before taking another sip of the bitter drink.
He then placed it back down on the tray as he nervously patted his legs. "So tell me, how did you meet my granddaughter?"
"Um, we're actually classmates," Taemin answered.
"And I guess, she told you what happened regarding her parents, huh?" Erika's halmeoni asked.
"Yeah, she told me that they are no longer together," Taemin said to her.
Erika's halmeoni nodded her head as she sipped the drink that she had made for Taemin. "Well, you must be very special to her, since she doesn't bring many people here to see me," she told him.
Taemin was kind of confused, "why do you say that?"
Erika's halmeoni lifted up one eye towards Taemin and smiled, "because of her complexion, she seems to think that because she is mixed, neither the Korean nor the black side of her accepts her, so most of the time she keeps to herself."
Taemin thought about what Erika's halmeoni had said truthfully when he first met Erika he was taken back because of how she looked but the more he got to know her, it's what counted on the inside that matter the most to him.
"I see you were thinking about what I said. It's alright, I felt that way myself but she my blood and no matter I wouldn't have any other way. I see her more then I see my son. She is the ray of the sunshine that keeps me going. Remember that." She ended saying.
Taemin thought about what she said and truthfully after everything that Erika put him through today, she still cared about how he felt and didn't go on any other crazy rides.
Just then Erika came out with a change of clothes and handed it over to Taemin. She tossed it over to him as he caught it in the air. "Since it's late, we're going to stay the night here and leave out in the morning."
She turned back around and headed back to the room that she came out from. Taemin was about to say something but was stopped by Erika's halmeoni, "let her be, that's a fight you will never win."
Taemin lean back in the chair as he let out a deep sigh before pulling out his phone to text his hyungs.
