FORGIVE ME CH. 16

As Hanbin walked back to his apartment with the good news, he did not realize that he was being followed. He walked down the street to stop at a local store to grab a couple of things before going to his apartment. As he walked into the convenience store the person also walked in as well.
Hanbin walked down the aisle grabbing some noodles and drinks to take back to his place. He wasn't too sure which one Kira liked so he grabbed one of each. Hanbin walked up to the front with the items in hand not playing attention of who he bumped into.
He bowed down apologizing before going up the counter. He paid for all of his stuff and headed out of the store. He lifted the bag up in the air smiling at the goodies in hand.
He walked down the street before turning off down the alley that would take him to his apartment. As he is walking he could hear footsteps behind him. Hanbin heard the footsteps and stopped to turn around. He looked back and saw no one behind. He shrugged his shoulders before turning back around to continue walking. Once more he heard the sound of footsteps behind him and again when he turned around he saw nothing. Hanbin scratched his head knowing that he wasn't going crazy. He knew that he heard footsteps not once but twice.
This time Hanbin slowly turned around and took a very small step making sure to listen out for anything. When he didn't hear any footsteps he decided to walk normally. Just then the footsteps could be heard once more. Hanbin quickly turned around seeing a figure dash away from his eyesight.
So someone is following me, he thought. He instantly knew that he needed to get to his apartment as quickly as possible. He turned on his heels to run when he was grabbed by the neck and slammed against the wall.
He turned on his heels to run when he was grabbed by the neck and slammed against the wall
The impact knocked the wind out of Hanbin as the bag in his hand dropped to the ground. Hanbin opened his eyes to see only green eyes staring at him. The eyes flashed at him as they squinted down to stare straight into Hanbin.
"Where is she?!" The person demanded from Hanbin.
Hanbin tried to wiggle out from the person grip but the person held on tighter to Hanbin's neck. "I'm going to ask you again, where is she?"
This time a blade was presented to Hanbin and was slowly being placed on his neck. Hanbin saw the metal item being pointed to his neck. He tried struggling out from the man's grip but by now he was slowly starting to lose consciousness.
Was his life going to end like this?
"Chanwoo drop him, now!!" A familiar voice demanded.
The man turned his head to see Kira leaning on the wall with her hands folded across her chest. From her demand, Chanwoo dropped Hanbin or literally tossed him to the side. Hanbin grabbed his throat as he coughed repeatedly from almost having his windpipe crushed.
The man walked over to Kira and bowed down to her removing his mask from his face.
"Kira, are you okay?" He asked her.
Kira turned to smile at him before giving him a reassuring smile. "I'm fine but why are you here?"
Chanwoo looked into Kira's eyes giving her look of concerned. "When my brother didn't report in. I got concerned and went looking for him. Is my brother okay, Kira?"
Kira lowered her head before answering Chanwoo's question. Just then, Hanbin steadies himself before walking over to the two people talking.
"Don't worry about me I'm okay," Hanbin said to the two people. Chanwoo stared at Hanbin even though he was told to stand down his dagger was still out and was ready to end Hanbin's life in a second. Kira noticed and placed her hand on top of Chanwoo's. Both Hanbin and Chanwoo noticed the jester before Chanwoo withdrew his dagger back into his sleeve.
Kira then placed her hand on Chanwoo's cheek before telling him the truth. "Your brother was killed. I'm so sorry, Chanwoo."
Hearing those words, Chanwoo's eyes changed from a light color of green to a darker green. He slammed his fist against the wall.
"That can't be. Please, Kira, are you sure?" Chanwoo asked.
He could not believe his brother was dead. It was not sitting well. Kira slowly nodded her head to tell him it was true. Chanwoo turned around covering his face every ounce of his body was inflamed. Hanbin noticed the change in the man's aurora. He wanted to get away from the two people that stood to block him from his apartment.
Kira walked over to Chanwoo and placed her hand on his shoulder. The flames that surrounded Chanwoo disappeared and his eyes started to dim as well.
"Do you know where his body is?" He asked her.
Kira looked down since she could not give him a truthful answer to his question. She really didn't know.
Just then Hanbin walked over still coughing spoke up. "I know."
As both eyes turned to look at him.
