FORGIVE ME CH. 18

Hanbin played around with the noodles that were on his chopsticks. He felt like a third wheel between Kira and Chanwoo. He thought back at the way they looked at each other. It was like they had a long history and he was intruding in it. He dropped the chopsticks into the bowl and placed his head on the counter. He stared out into the abyss thinking about all that has happened so far. He let out a sigh before placing his hands on his chin. He didn't notice a tall figure walking up to him.
"We need to talk," Chanwoo said to Hanbin. Hanbin jumped at the deep voice that came out of nowhere.
Chanwoo placed the dishes in the sink before looking at Hanbin. "Why did you help Kira?"
Hanbin stared into the eyes of the man that stood in front of him. His eyes changed from a light green to a darker image. He looked down to see that the point of Chanwoo's dagger was slowly drawing out from the hidden area of his sleeves. He turned to look over at the sofa and noticed that Kira was nowhere in sight. He moved his eyes back to the figure who stood in front of him.
"Umm...she was badly injured and I couldn't leave her to die." Chanwoo leaned into Hanbin and whispered something in his ear.
"Stay away from her," He said pulling away from Hanbin. He smirked at Hanbin before walking away back to the sofa. The words that he said to Hanbin caused a chill to run down Hanbin's spline. He has counted so far three people telling him to stay clear of Kira. Was there something that he was missing?
Chanwoo turned back to Hanbin and smiled to him before turning towards the bedroom to see Kira walking out.

It was the next day and Hanbin was supposed to talk to Jinhwan about getting access to go to the morgue to retrieve Kira guardian's body. Honestly, after last night ordeal, he was a little bit scared. He did not expect to be told to stay away from a person that he helped. After Kira had walked out of his bedroom, Chanwoo kept an eye on Hanbin. He made sure that Hanbin kept his distance from Kira, even when they talked about how they would get his brother's body.
It made Hanbin scared. Even though Chanwoo appeared to be younger than him. He could tell that Chanwoo had experience in fighting and would kill before having anyone come near Kira. Hanbin understood that Kira was a princess and what was explained is that all females of her clan had a mate.
Was Chanwoo her mate? Was that the reason why he told him to stay away from her. If that was the case, why not state that. It wasn't like Hanbin had feelings for Kira. He just wanted to make sure that she was okay due to the wound that she sustained from her fight. He didn't know this woman and once he helped her with getting her guardian's body she would be out of his life.
But is that what Hanbin wanted? Did he really want Kira to leave after she dropped into his life? He listened on but really did not hear anything that they were saying since his mind was someplace else. He didn't know that they were asking him a question until Kira nudged him on the shoulder that he realizes that Kira and Chanwoo were looking at him.
He batted his eyes looking at them with a confused look.
"What was the question?" Chanwoo sucked his teeth before stepping up from the sofa. Hanbin looked up at him and moved his eyes back to Kira who had a look of being upset.
"We're asking you if you could talk to you friend about us getting into the police station." Hanbin nodded his head and smiled towards Kira who did not smile back to him.
"Yeah, I'll talk to him tomorrow. Promise."
So it was the next day and he was supposed to talk to Jinhwan about going with him to the morgue. He saw Jinhwan walked down the hall towards the class that they both belong in.
He patted his friend on the shoulder before slinging his arms around his shoulder. "Hey, do you have time to talk for a second."
Jinhwan who was still busy looking down at his cell phone. Hanbin peeks to see that he was playing some type of game.
"Aish!" Jinhwan yelled out to the device.
Once the screen read "GAME OVER" he finally looked up to find out what Hanbin wanted.
"Is it possible that I can go with you to your internship tonight?" He nervously asked. Jinhwan raised an eyebrow up to Hanbin.
"Why?" He questioned his friend.
Hanbin stuffed his hands in his pocket before answering his friend's question. "You know. Maybe wanted to change my profession." Jinhwan now raising both eyebrows towards his friend.
"You, Hanbin want to come with me. You are the person who cried when a cat was hit by a car and now wants to go to a morgue to see dead bodies? Did you fall and bumped your head?" He leaned forward tapping the side of Hanbin's head. Hanbin swiped Jinhwan's hand away. To even hear the word dead body freaked Hanbin out and now he was going to see one up close made him shiver but it was for a good reason.
He sucked up his pride and nodded his head.
"Just let me go with you." He clapped his hands together begging for Jinhwan to say yes.
Jinhwan sighs at his friend. "Fine. Meet me tonight at the front gates and we can go together. And you better be there."
They both walked into the classroom before the last bell rung. Hanbin saluted him promising that he will be there.
