"Did you really have to buy this house for me, Jay? You know, I could've been fine with just a one or two bedroom apartment, not a whole entire house," Krissie exclaimed looking up at the place that Jay purchase for her to live.
Coming next to Krissie with one of the boxes labeled kitchen in his hands was Jay. "I don't see what's the problem," he said nonchalantly, looking up at the house
After a lot of begging from Jay, pleading for Krissie to take the ultimate leap and live thousands of miles away from the familiar life to a new horizon, she finally said yes.
Yes, that she would accept his offer and work for him but only under her demands in which of course, Jay was more than willing to oblige.
So, in a matter of time, Krissie and Jay started to make the arrangement for her to fly to Korea.
Krissie giving her two-week noticed at her old job and getting in touch with a realtor about selling her house and ultimately selling her car due to that Jay told her there was nothing for to worry about, just bring a bag of clothes and that's it.
Jay, on the other hand, had already started making the accommodations even before Kristie had said yes that Krissie would need during the time she would be working for him.
He even wanted to surprise her with a place that he found close to him so she wouldn't feel alone.
So when that time came, in which Jay received a text from Krissie that she had just touched down and was waiting for him at the airport, Jay dropped everything to meet her.
In doing so, after everything, Jay still heard the constant complaints from Simon and Gray that seriously this wasn't a good idea. That he needed to rethink all of this before something bad happens.
But Jay just ignored them. He really didn't understand what was the big deal anyway as he slipped his phone into his pocket, already responding to Krissie that he was on the way.
So now, they in front of her new place, bringing boxes of what she sent from Washington with her to Seoul.
It wasn't much since Jay had told that she needed to bring a bag of clothes, but Krissie was the type who preferred to be always prepared, and plus wanted her new place to feel like home.
So, her things even if it was something like her mother's things was what made her feel better
"What's wrong with the place, Kris?" Jay asked her again as she stared at the scene in front of her.
Krissie was still unsure about the place as to why Jay wanting her to move into a house so big.
Especially when it was only just her living here, alone. Maybe every once in a while Jay may make an appearance but still, she was living alone, by herself.
Krissie placed her hands on her hip and faced Jay. "What do you mean what's wrong? This place is too much!"
Jay adjusted the box in his arms, shaking his head. He wanted the best for his best friend, and this was the best.
"Why are you worry so much, Kris? Look, I'm only a couple of meters from you, and if something happens, I made sure you have the best security in Seoul. So don't worry, okay?"
Again, Jay tried to reassure Krissie that everything will alright.
There isn't anything for her to worry about,  he will make sure of that.
Knowing that honestly, there wasn't any way she could turn back, Krissie took a deep breath, just like when she agreed to travel to Korea, leave the life that she was used to, and live in another country.
In which, she barely knew the language.
Will she be okay, she thought.
Krissie nodded her head. "Fine, fine, I'll settle but you still didn't have to but I thank you for it. "
Krissie nudged playfully at Jay as he shook his head, never a dull moment with the duo.
Right after, Krissie picked up a box that was stacked in front of her place as Jay strolled into the place with the one that was in his arms, taking it to the kitchen as Krissie took the one that she had and headed upstairs to her new bedroom.
She placed the box on top of another box as she used the ones that were already in the room as a base to unpack the box that she brought in.
