"Passport, ID," Nana muttered to herself in her bedroom. She was in the process of packing two suitcases and a carry-on bag for her two month trip in Europe.
Until she noticed that she was missing something very important to her. Nana searched around the room, going into all of her drawers and also into her closet but couldn't the item that she was looking for.
She then walked out and noticed Kay sitting on the couch with headphones in her ear playing a racing car game on her iPad.
"Hey, Kay, have you seen my beige scarf?" Nana asked, patting Kay on her shoulder to grab her attention.
"What?"
"I need my lucky beige scarf, Kay" She mouthed to Kay who had turned around to look at her.
"It's in the laundry room, I think," she answered before turning her body back around and going back to her game.
Nana slapped her forehead for not thinking about searching there. She headed over to the laundry room and searched in there. After a few minutes of looking through all of the clean clothes that were in the dryer, Nana found her lucky scarf.
She quickly rushed back to her room and placed it inside her carry-on bag. After doing another check, she secured everything that she needed and headed back to the front.
While walking to the front, she felt her pant's pocket vibrate. She slipped her hand into her pocket and pulled out her phone.
Her eyes widening when she noticed a message on her phone. She sent a reply back and continued walking until she was by her friend.
"Kay, my brother is going to need to be picked up from the airport, could you do me a favor and pick him up for me, please? I will send you all the details to your phone so you will know which terminal to pick him up from, okay?
(this would have been the right time to listen to what your best friend was saying but anywho)
"- did you get that Kay?" Nana asked Kay again. Kay just nodded her head even though she wasn't paying any attention to what Nana was telling.
Kay waved her hand in the air motions a goodbye as Nana started to exit out of their shared apartment. Nana just shook her head and sighing knowing that she would have to send instructions her little brother if Kay doesn't show up.
She hated that she had to miss hanging out with her little brother but when you had a job that was, you had to be there.
She lifted her carry-on bag and placed it on her shoulder and pulled the two other suitcases to head downstairs to the waiting cab, to take her to the airport.
