Nelia sighed out after pulling into the parking lot of jailhouse of the local precinct.
Already, she felt a slight headache slowly inching its way to the front of her forehead as she pulled the key out from the ignition of her car.
The time was a few minutes after nine o'clock at night and she was dead tired. Extremely tired after searching all over town for the person she's now got the unexpected call that they were located at the precinct for her to pick them up.
She couldn't believe it when she received the call from Donghyuk that they had you know who, sitting in one of their jail rooms.
"I'll be there in a moment, Donghyuk, thanks," she said as she ended the call, turned around, and raced over to the police stations.
Now, sitting in front of the precinct, it took every bit of what was inside Nelia to not get angry as she got out from her car and heading inside.
She truly thought that she would never be back here again. But, oh no, here she was, less than a month from the time before picking up him.
Honestly, how did she get involved with him in the first place, she wondered.
At the moment, now wasn't the time to dwell on the past.
That would have to be for another day, she thought as she squeezed the door handle to let herself out from the car.
She dragged her body into the station and towards the front desk. And of course, she didn't have to wait too long to hear her name being called out from the person she was here to pick up.
"Lia! You came!" The manly but childish voice called out, trying to get her attention by jumping up and down with excitement to see her from his jail cell as he cuffs his hands around the metal bars.
The officers in the precinct eyes snapped over to the hyperactive guy wanting to know who he was talking about but with Nelia, she was embarrassed.
Not embarrassed by the young man but the fact that he's gotten him into a bad situation with the wrong people.
Her eyes glared deep into the soul of the young man as he stopped his actions.
He slowly let go of the bars and gradually set back on the uncomfortable bench.
He knew he was in big trouble, seriously big trouble as soon as Nelia got him out of there.
Right after that, Nelia stepped towards the front and was greeted by one of the front desk police officers who really didn't care so much for her due to how close she was with one of the officers.
"Hello, Nelia," Mera rudely greeted only taking a slight glimpse of the woman in front of her.
"Hello, Mera, can I speak with Donghyuk, please?" Knowing that kindness can kill even the rudest actions coming from Mera.
Mera let out an annoyed huff while rolling her eyes but getting up from her seat to head to the back area to get Donghyuk.
Patiently, Nelia took a seat in one of the plastic chairs with her arms folded as she shot glares over at the young man that was sitting down as he kept trying to avoid her glares.
He knew good and well that she was very upset with him because of his actions. Nelia had told him to wait for her at the same location as always but he didn't listen. And now here they were again.
His small eyes forming into a smile kept implying that he was sorry for whatever he did wrong even though he may not understand exactly what he did wrong in first place.
No sooner then Nelia sitting down she heard her name being announced which brought her attention back to the person who just called her.
"Nelia, it's nice to see you, again. I bet not in the way you wanted to us to see each other." Donghyuk expressed as he walked from behind the desk and held his hand out for Nelia to shake.
During the whole time, Mera kept her cat-like eyes glued to the scene as if she wanted to keep an eye out for her so-called man.
Not at all but here I am," Nelia stated, turning once again to shoot deadly glares at the man behind the bars.
"Come, this way, Nelia," Donghyuk said as he guided her to an empty desk to sit while he finishes up the paperwork.
"Thank you, so much for calling me, Donghyuk," Nelia said. "Did he do anything, you know..?"
Donghyuk shook his head which caused Nelia to sigh with relief. She was already paying out a fine already for the first time and didn't need to cough out any more money or be something much worse.
"Everything is fine, Nelia. I was able to persuade the store owner not to press charges and no fines under your belt since you are considered his guardian, just as long as he doesn't return."
Nelia shut her lids as she let out annoyed sighed hearing another place ban him again.
She knew it wasn't his fault but even if she explain things to him, he may seem as if he understood but he doesn't and it's back to the drawing board explaining the same thing once more to him.
"Thank you, once again Donghyuk, I owe you," Nelia said, placing her hand on top of Donghyuk's while he was typing.
From her gesture, it made Donghyuk let out a nervous chuckle as he froze in place and face beginning to turn a bit of pink.
To him, this gesture was enough to get his heart racing even though the feelings that came about was only one-sided.
But then a clear throat from someone at the front desk caused him to get back to work and he started to type once more.
