THE TRUTH HURTS - CH 04
➖
The session came to an end and Dean collects himself, going out to one of the restrooms to wash his face.
He turns on both the hot and cold water and allows them to warm up and once it did, he splashed the liquid substance on his face. He leans over the counter looking at himself in the mirror, noticing the dark circles and bags underneath his eyes.
He takes deep breaths out of his mouth as he felt everything that he had pent-up so much flow out of his body. He knew honestly that he needed to resolve this situation. Finally, Dean grabbed a couple of paper towels to dry his face and turn off the knobs.
He tossed the used paper towels in the trash and grabbed the bathroom handle to head back out to the main area of the doctor's office. On his way to the exit, he then was stopped by Dr. Hwang who was talking to her receptionist, Katie. "Oh, Mr. Kwon, remember what we talked about, okay?"
Dean gives a slight nod before he pressed down on the door handle to allow himself to exit out of the office building.
He heads back to his black Audi and hits the button on the keyless to unlock the doors to allow him inside his vehicle. He pressed down on the press start and wait a few minutes to give the engine time to warm up.
He pulls out his cell phone and looks down at the notifications that were on the screen. He sighs deeply as he clears the missed ones and moves on to the ones that are coming up soon.
Dean continues the rest of days by going to scheduled events and even stopping by his mom and having a chat with her.
Like always, she gives him the motherly talk and in which he gets the same response back that everyone has been telling him that he needed to do in regards to Leah. "Sweetheart, I know how much you care about her but from what you've been telling me, I think it's best that you let her go."
She leans back in the chair with her arms folded on her chest. Dean was leaning forward with both of his hands pressed on his cheeks, rubbing circles around and around. "I know, mom but I feel that...."
"No buts, Dean, this needs to stop, now!" His mom interrupted, placing her foot down firm on her stance. "You're wasting money that could be used on more important things."
Deans nods again, sighing loud and clear to what his mother was saying to him but still, he couldn't press what he felt was more important to him at the moment.
But all that stopped when his phone beeped and he went to reach down into his pocket to get his phone. "I bet that's her right now," his mother mumbled to herself.
And of course, she was right, well sort of.
"Hello," Dean answered, getting up from the couch to speak in private to the person on the other line.
"Hey, your girl is acting a fool in the club right now," the guy on the other line stated.
Dean sucked his teeth. "Which club is she at, Gray?"
"We're at Club Drama," Gray replied back.
All Dean could do is laugh, "Of all names for the club to be called, I'll be there soon."
He finished the call with Gray and walks back into the room where he left his mom. "I've got to go," he states, leaning over to kiss his mom on the cheek.
"Mhmm, to bail her out, I bet," his mom shots back.
Dean shakes his head as he heads to the door, slipping his shoes back on his feet. "I love you, mom," Dean shouts out closing the door right behind him and heading to his car.
It wasn't long when Dean pulled up to the front of the club, seeing the large neon sign displaying the words, Club Drama. Again he shook his head seeings those words.
He parks his vehicle to the side and locks it up as he gets out and approaches the front entrance to see a bouncer standing there. Dean clears his throat to get the guys attention.
The 6'5 guy tilted his head down seeing who was asking for his attention.
"I'm here for Leah."
That's all it took for the bouncer's eyes to grow big and back up to allow Dean to bypass all the people that have been waiting for God knows how long to get inside the club.
Dean strolls inside smelling the strong smell of cigarettes and vibration of the music playing through the speakers. His eyes scanned the scene until his eyes landed on whom he was looking for.
In the center of it all was Leah. She was being held back by another bouncer and a couple of her so-called friends, Hoody and Heize. Dean walked over grabbing Hoody's arm and twisted her around for Dean to look at him. "What happen?"
Hoody kissed her teeth as she yanked her arm out from Dean. "I don't know, she just snapped and the next thing I know she was on top of some chick with the girl's wrist being twisted until you could hear a popping sound."
Dean stepped away and headed over to where the bouncer and Leah were standing. He noticed that the bouncer was restraining Lean and the other female was holding her wrist rubbing the sore area.
The bouncer glances up seeing Dean and motioning his head for him to follow him to the back of the club. Dean abides and talks his leave away from Heize and Hoody.
They were now in the back in a separate room, with Leah facing away from the two men. As soon as the door was closed, the first thing that came out of Dean's mouth was, "what happened?"
However, the bouncer wasn't the one to answer that question, "that bitch came at me," Leah spat.
"Leah, calm down for once," Dean said with an annoyed tone in his voice.
"Calm down?!" Leah scoffed, rolling her eyes and huffing out loud.
Dean turns back to the bouncer in which the bouncer explains what happens. Dean rakes his fingers through his dark hair, feeling his blood pressure rise with every word that the bouncer was saying.
Right after, Dean thanks the bouncer who escorts the duo out of the club. They get into the car in which Dean doesn't say anything to Leah and with her not saying anything back in return.
The long silence was all that was needed for Dean to think about everything and know what he needed to do once they arrived back at his place.
Like always, Leah opens and slams the door storming up to the place but this time, Dean was right behind her rushing up to speak to her about her attitude.
Dean reached out his hand grabbing Leah's arm for her to look at him. "Leah, we need to talk, now!"
She was forced to halt in her tracks due to Dean keeping a tight grip on her arm. She moves her eyes down and sees his hand on her arm. "Let go of me," she hissed. But Dean didn't, he was not going to let this go.
"Leah you need to stop this, your attitude is getting out of hand."
Leah tried to yank her arm away again but Dean kept a good grip on her arm.
She then tries to knee him hard in his lower region area which caused Dean to stumble, bringing the both of them down on the cold marble floor.
Dean was on top breaking their fall with Leah on top, pressing down on Dean's chest. Their eyes met for a quick second, the only sound of their hearts beating against each other chest.
Leah leans down allowing their lips to meet and Dean returning the unexpected kiss back. But as quickly as the kiss started, it was stopped in a flash. Leah bit down on Dean's bottom lip which causes Dean to let go of the grip on Leah's arm and his attention was now on the lip, tasting the metallic taste.
She hops up and moves off of Dean, wiping her lips. "Next time I say let go, I mean it," after that, she gets up and rushes up the stairs and all Dean hears is the sound of her room door slamming.
Dean rolls over to his side and pulls out his phone, holding his mouth feeling it start to become numb.
He slides the phone unlock and quickly goes into his contacts. He taps quickly but before sending the message, he takes one glimpse at the screen before sending the message.
"I'm done."
