Narrative
It was the next day when the alarm started going off. Elise groans out loud as she pulled the covers higher above her head to cancel out the noise. But no matter what the alarm noise continued buzzing away.
She pressed down on the snooze button not realizing that she actually hit the dismiss. Elise assumed that she had plenty of time to sleep until she had to go to class, so another fifteen minutes wouldn't do any harm.
Fifteen minutes turned into twenty until it was almost another hour when Elise realized what time it was.
She glanced over at her clock that was displayed on her stand and noticed that it was stating that it was passed nine o'clock in the morning. She flipped back the covers that were on her jumped out of the bed.
Rushing like a manic to the closet to pull on anything was quick to place over her body as she jetted over to the bathroom to the quickest routine on her face.
"Crap," she mumbled to herself as finally finished brushing and washing her face to race out of her room.
Along the way, Hakyeon was standing by the entrance of her door, noticing Elise's frantic movement as she raced around the apartment to find her belongings. "Elise," he called out to her to grasp her attention.
"Not now, Hakyeon, I'm already late as it is," she expressed out to him.
"But listen to me," he said appearing in front of her to stop her from leaving the apartment.
"I've don't have time for your antics, Hakyeon," she told him again before stepping through him and finally managing to grab her belongings and now was racing out of the door of her apartment.
The whole time all Hakyeon could to do is shake his head, place his hand on his waist while running his hand through his fingers. It wasn't long that he heard an alarm beep on his waist and soon disappeared out from Elise's apartment to wherever.
Now with Elise racing out from her apartment and onto the busy streets of where she lived, she sighed out thinking that she was actually glad that she didn't live that far from the school.
She reached into her bag and took out her phone, pressing down to view the time. She signed out softly as she noticed that she could make it there in five minutes if she speedwalk to the university building.
Five minutes passed and Elise finally arrived at the Science wing and pulled on the door of the building when it didn't budge.
She cocked her head to the side trying to figure out why the door wouldn't open up. "This can't be happening," she muttered to herself as she kept trying to pull on the door of the building.
Her frustration was building up as she kept pulling harder and harder feeling like the door would open up with the amount of strength that she was using.
Elise stepped back sighing out and placed her hands on her waist when she glanced up noticing a bright purple paper tapped on the window of the door.
"we apologιzed ғor тнe ιnconvenιence вυт raтѕ were ғoυnd ιn тнe вυιldιng and ѕo all claѕѕeѕ нave вeen canceled υnтιl ғυrтнer noтιce."
"Well, huh, how come I didn't get this sent to me via text," she questioned at the paper.
But as soon as she said that, Elise's phone beeped. She pulled out her phone that she had placed back in her bag from earlier.
She kissed her teeth ready to tossed her phone against the side of the building when she read the text message. "You've got to be kidding me right now," she spoke out with disgust.
On the screen of her phone was the same message that was printed on the paper in front of her. "It would have been nice to have received this before running around my place like a chicken with its head cut off thinking that I was going to be late for class."
She stuffed her phone back into her handbag and sling it back over her shoulder as she walked back down the same path. "Since I'm out, I might as well grab something to eat at the cafe."
Elise turned on the heels of her flats and walked out from the university campus and back into town as she made her way to her favorite cafe.
But she didn't know that she was being watched from above.
On top of the roof, Hakyeon watched head out from the university campus and make her way back into town. "I tried to tell her," he stated like he was talking to someone.
But someone was next to him as they chuckled out hearing Hakyeon speak in regards to Elise's irrational behavior. "She never changes," Hakyeon said mumbling while shaking his head.
"It seems that way," a male voice states to Hakyeon as they continue to watch Elise.
"How is she doing?" Hakyeon asked, never taking his eyes off of Elise until she walked into the cafe.
"So far, she's okay, Hakyeon," He answered before disappearing leaving Hakyeon alone on the roof.
